Place

Whenever I think about places or spaces I think about energy. That's what defines it. What gives the space the energy is a complicated network of
Objects that are in the space
People who've interacted with the objects and also the space itself
Why the space was created
Who created/built the space
Therefore when I think about coming up with a space I think of the places that have struck me mostly emotionally without any particular event or situation that guided the feeling. For instance if I walked into a field with dead cows and goats I would immediately associate the location with death or sorrow, while if the space was cleared of all the corpses an I felt a particular energy, I wouldn't know exactly know what to relate it to. So here are some objects that have intrigued me the most over the years. That Ive thought of so far.
Blackboards(chalkboards)
Tools (hammers, nails)
Trees/plants
Animal waste/mud
Rocks
old clothing/curtains

Since I'm thinking about the energy in objects and spaces I wanted to experiment with stripping down the objects to their most basic form. Almost like an x-ray to see their souls. So i decided to use ink and stick sketches.
